In anticipation of the upcoming November/December 2023 Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health Week (MNCHW), the Women’s Health, Empowerment, and Peace Initiative (WOHEPI) has made a significant contribution to support the health and well-being of expectant mothers in the community. Demonstrating our commitment to improving maternal health, WOHEPI has donated 250 tins of folate tablets. This vital supplement will benefit up to 8,000 pregnant women across the State, helping to ensure healthier pregnancies and better outcomes for both mothers and their babies. The donation was graciously received by the State Nutrition Officer, who accepted it on behalf of the State Primary Healthcare Board (BNSPHCB). This collaborative effort underscores the importance of partnerships in enhancing public health initiatives and highlights WOHEPI's ongoing dedication to fostering healthier communities through proactive health interventions and support. By providing essential folate supplements, WOHEPI aims to address the critical nutritional needs of pregnant women, thereby reducing the risk of birth defects and promoting optimal maternal and neonatal health. This initiative is a testament to our mission of empowering women and transforming communities through health, empowerment, and peace.
