About FIDELIS NJOALU UTUKWA

Mr. Fidelis Njoalu Utukwa holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Health Services Administration from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo and Sangamon State University, Springfield (now University of Illinois at Springfield), USA in 1984 and 1986 respectively. He served and retired as Director of Administration and Finance with the Benue State Hospitals Management Board and has over 36 years’ experience in planning, organization and management of hospitals and health services.

His key technical areas include: Human Resource Management & Planning, budget planning and analysis; health systems reforms; management of health services; hospital management; health care quality assurance and participatory peer appraisal systems (PPRHAA) and Nursing and Nursing Administration. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria and served as National Consultant on PPRHAA, health systems reforms and Human Resources for Health (HRH) with Partnership for Transforming Health Services in Nigeria (DFID) and Women for Health in Kano, Jigawa, Yobe and Katsina states all sponsored by UK Aid International between 2005 and 2013. He currently serves on the Board of Women’s Health, Empowerment and Peace Initiative (WOHEPI) as Secretary.
He is married with children.
